About Us
Rumor has it that Amanda Marsh was born with a red pen in her hand. (Someone has to check that everything’s spelled correctly on the birth certificate.) She launched Buzzmaestro in 2014 after realizing that editing bathroom graffiti, Facebook memes, and supermarket circulars wasn’t the best use of her ink.
Beforehand, she spent nearly nine years as a business journalist. Most recently, she was deputy editor for Bisnow Media, a digital media, live events, and education company that focuses on the commercial real estate, legal, technology, association, and non-profit sectors. She started her business writing career at Nielsen Business Media and has also written extensively about young adult cancer survivorship.
Amanda caught the writing bug early, wanting to be a professional writer since she was five. After stints as editor in chief at her high school and college newspapers, she graduated Fordham University with a BA in Communication and Media Studies, focusing on journalism and new media.
Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Buzzfeed, Bisnow, Commercial Property News, Ragan.com, PRDaily.com, BOMA Magazine, Cancer Survivors Thrive, and Cure Magazine.
She lives in Ossining, NY, with her husband Alex in a 130-year-old Victorian that always has something to fix.
